That was quick—a day after reporting that Acer is scaling back its netbook production to focus on pumping out tablets, DigiTimes reported that the computer maker has now halved its forecast for tablet shipments in 2011.
Acer has revised its forecast down for shipments of tablets this year from 5 to 7 million units to just 2.5 to 3 million units,
